主讲人简介:李应芳(Fang Lee Cooke)系“人力资源管理和中国研究”领域的国际著名华人学者,现为澳大利亚莫纳什大学(Monash University)商学院副院长,人力资源管理和中国研究杰出教授。在2011年4月之前,曾在澳大利亚皇家墨尔本理工大学管理学院任副院长一职,2010年以前在英国曼彻斯特大学商学院任专职教授和副院长多年。
李教授代表作包括专著HRM, Work and Employment in China (Routledge, 2005), Competition, Strategy and Management in China (Palgrave Macmillan, 2008); Human Resource Management in China: New Trends and Practices (Routledge, 2012). 李教授还在发表了超过120 篇国际期刊文章和书籍章节。她现为多家优秀学术杂志副主编。其中包括Human Resource Management杂志, International Journal of Human Resource management杂志; Gender, Work, and Organization杂志,和Asia Business and Management杂志。 同时他还担任Asia Pacific Journal of Management杂志的高级主编,以及 Asia Pacific Journal of Human Resources杂志的联合主编。
讲座摘要:
本次将做主要围绕质化研究论文的撰写,之主题是如何组织质化数据以构建一个有趣的“故事”,同时还能够将其用简洁干净的形式表现出来。本次讲座的具体案例来自于人力资源管理领域的研究,还会涉及到更加广泛的领域,如工业关系和一般管理等。

Seminar Overview:
Learning to publish good quality journal articles is a very hands-on process and requires a strong alignment of what journals are seeking and what you have to offer. More specifically, presenting qualitative data in a paper can be a very challenging exercise. There are many ways of doing it, but one needs to do it without confusing the reviewers to the extent that it puts them off. In this workshop, we explore how qualitative data can be presented to tell an interesting story but also in a succinct way to give it a ‘quantitative’ feel. In particular, we discuss the following four aspects of activities that may be required to produce a good quality paper with qualitative data. While the focus and examples are drawn from the human resource management (HRM) discipline, much of the discussion may be relevant to the industrial relations discipline and other management disciplines too.
