This talk discusses how geography extends the research on various issues in economics. The presenter demonstrates how his research from a geographic perspective has enhanced the understanding of several important topics in economics. Specifically, four issues are examined: (1) urban structure, (2) wasteful commuting, (3) crime, and (4) equality. Examples were drawn from various case studies.
